NRITYA SANDHYA an evening of Bharathanatyam by ABHINAYA SCHOOL OF DANCE was presented on the occasion of their "Third Annual Recital" on Saturday, the November 14th 2009 at South Lyon East High School.
The School has a proud number of 120 dancers of various age groups starting from as little as age 5. Their third Annual Recital, presented by the Abhinaya school of Dance, an institute of culture dedicated to one of India's most ancient art - Bharatha Natyam was a feast to the eyes of all the spectators.
With Smt.Vani Dhanya Kumar's imaginative choreography and direction, this concert promises to be a rewarding experience for all lovers of Indian dance. She has imaginatively blended dance forms and musical systems, breathing new life into centuries - old art form. The School has taken Bharata Natyam, a style of dance that originated in the country's holy temples, and updated it without breaking down its traditional form.
She has enlarged the iconographic vocabulary with colorful, dramatic detail that lends this ancient dance style a heightened sense of narrative flow. Congratulations to Smt.Vani who has produced this wonderful event. The school is doing a commendable service in the field of Indian dance and propagation of the arts thru their Sanskriti Songs, by Connecting Traditional Arts to Technology.
All the 20 items presented by the dancers were exemplary and graceful. Nrityanjali group (Sanjana Vadrevu, Amulya, Lekhana, Nia, and Snigdha) was commendable and added colors to the evening. What serves as a fitting finale to the two and a half hour dance show was the clipping of Amulya & group’s performance of Thillana. This is a glaring paradigm of ‘kalpana’ (creativity) which, according to Smt.Vani, demands a deep knowledge of the philosophy of one’s own cultural moorings. She has an amazing geometrical sense and she presents it excellently on stage during group compositions.
The performance as a whole, was superb, so were the performers. She is today an inspiration to all. Whole dance presentation was awesome with cool light effects, superior dance performance, excellent coordination of music and complex footwork, bhavas (Expressions), hand movements and perfect formations.More than 120 kids took part in this grand dance show. Imaginative decoration & media help by Kamaraju Vadrevu added more light to the show.
Smt.Vani thanked everyone for attending the event and making it a grand success.

Srivastava founded Youngsoft, an IT services company, in 1996 and grew the company by securing such clients as Ann Arbor-based Domino's Pizza. In 2001, Srivastava used Youngsoft as a launch pad to start H2H Solutions, a company that makes specialized software for the health care industry, including products for e-prescriptions and medical-privacy compliance.
By shifting their focus to health care, Youngsoft and H2H Solutions were able to grow to nearly 200 employees and about $20 million in combined revenue last year. "We have put ourselves in a strong position by getting into health care at the right time," Srivastava says.
Srivastava expects that growth to continue as the health-care debate heats up and more companies look for ways to streamline costs. He plans to hire about 75 new workers by the end of 2010 and aims to have 500 employees at his two companies in the next five years.
Srivastava's companies have fielded offers to relocate to other states and countries, and he admits that some of the tax breaks and other incentives have been tempting. But so far, metro Detroit's benefits are winning out.

A produce of AVM, the movie has been shooting for months with a low-key on publicity; this is attributed to hero Rana’s star connections.

Dear Friend,
This week, Congress took an important step to protect those who have been targeted because of the color of their skin, their religion, their disability, their gender, or their sexual orientation.
Yesterday, the Senate and House Armed Services Committees agreed to a final version of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 that included the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act. This legislation will likely be passed by both Houses of Congress and signed into law by President Obama in the coming days. As Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I am delighted that we were able to include this landmark legislation in the National Defense Authorization Act because it embodies values of diversity and freedom that our men and women in uniform fight to defend.
As Senator Ted Kennedy said in 2007 when we debated this legislation:
"We want to be able to have a value system that is worthy for our brave men and women to defend. They are fighting overseas for our values. One of the values is that we should not, in this country, in this democracy, permit the kind of hatred and bigotry that has stained the history of this Nation over a considerable period of time. We should not tolerate it. We keep faith with these men and women who are serving overseas when we battle that hatred and bigotry and prejudice at home." According to the FBI, between 1998 and 2007, more than 77,000 hate crimes incidents were reported. The trend is up for hate crimes based on sexual orientation - with a six percent increase in such crimes in the most recent year for which statistics are available, from 1,195 in 2006 to 1,265 in 2007. This is a major new category of hate crimes that would be covered, for the first time, by this legislation.
