Reddys strength via CD

Bellary, Nov. 6: The Reddy brothers seem to believe in banking on CDs. Discouraged from parading MLAs opposed to Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa before party leaders in Delhi, the brothers have apparently now recorded enough “evidence” on a CD of his unpopularity in the party to dislodge him.
“When the high command said an absolute no to parade of MLAs in Delhi, the Reddy camp videographed the MLAs staying in the resorts at Goa and Hyderabad demanding a change of leadership in Karnataka,” sources said.
“The CD has been given to the high command with a bunch of resignation letters submitted by more than 50 MLAs staying at the Hyderabad resort”, a senior party functionary added. Some visual clips on the CD apparently show a few MLAs commenting on the Chief Minister’s style of functioning, while others are heard complaining about the “overbearing attitude” of minister Shobha Karandhlaje.
The CD also shows MLAs clarifying that they are at the Hyderabad resort of their own accord and no force was used to take them there.
The Reddy camp is obviously hopeful that not only will the CD strengthen its case against Mr Yeddyurappa before the central leadership, but also prevent any MLA from having a last minute change of heart and switch loyalties to the CM.
