Chandru Acharya appointed to U.S. DHS Security Faith-Based Security Advisory Council (FBSAC)

Community leader Chandru Acharya has been appointed to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Faith-Based Security Advisory Council (FBSAC). Chandru has dedicated himself to community service for the past several years.  Chandru is the President of SAAVI (South Asian American Voices for Impact) serving the South Asian community in Michigan. Also, Chandru currently serves on MAPAAC (Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission),  and Canton Township Planning Commission. Chandru also commits his time to numerous non-profits in Michigan.

As a Special Government Employee, Chandru will serve on the Advisory Council for 3 years. Chandru’s input and contribution to the Department of Homeland Security will certainly benefit all communities in our region.
