Due to a substantial increase in COVID-19 cases, MDHHS (Michigan Department of Health and Human Services) has announced new restrictions effective for 3 weeks starting November 18, 2020
Highlights of the latest restrictions:
» Wear a mask at all times. Maintain social distance of at least 6 feet.
» No indoor gatherings are recommended. No more than two households should get together. That too only if it is necessary.
» High School classes will be conducted only remotely.
» All college classes will only be remote. No in person classes
» All offices will have employees work remotely unless the job absolutely has to be done in person.
» Restaurants cannot offer indoor dining, Only carry-out will be allowed
» No organized sports events except professional teams. Nobody will be allowed to attend.
» Gyms will be open but cannot have group fitness classes.
» Movie theaters will be closed.
» Casinos, ice skating rinks will be closed.
» Retail stores will continue to be open.
» No more than 25 people at funerals
» Hair salons will continue to be open
» Public transportation services will remain open.
Let us hope that all Michigan residents will adhere to these restrictions and help reduce the case count substantially in 3 weeks. Failure to do so will swamp hospitals with patients and up to 1,000 people are projected to die every week. Please do your part to turn things around. Stay Safe!
