Michigan Indian community member Urmila Varma passed away on February 8th 2021. She was a loving mom to Thejas Varma and Shreyas Varma. She was the loving daughter of Krishnakumara Varma and Jayasree. She was a loving wife to Premjith Varma, loving sister to Jayadev Varma and a loving sister-in-law to Saranya Jayadev. She was a loving aunt to Anamithran & Manaswini.
She graduated in Music from HH The Maharaja’s College for Women, Trivandrum, Kerala. A few of her outstanding achievements in the field of Music include the following.
She was a Graduate in Music, winner of “Gandharva Sangeetham”, the first-ever music reality show in Malayalam. She was an A-Grade artist (Light Music) in All India Radio. She has many song recordings to her credit and recently sang in a Bollywood movie “Anya”.
She was the most loving, passionate, empathetic, influential person one could ever meet. She loved her children more than herself. The whole world was like family to her. Full of laughter, she always wanted to be happy and make others happy. She touched and left a remarkable impact on the life of many. She had an amazing power of healing people and wished to be a counselor/ therapist, some day. Lesser known to many, she was the most intellectual, philosophical person who had a great sense of humor.
