In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, our community members are providing a helping hand to those on the frontline facing the challenge. Realizing that there is a critical shortage of PPEs for health care workers, members of DIWA (Detroit Indian Women’s Association) raised the funds to order 1,000 surgical masks, 1,000 N95 masks and 500 pairs of gloves. They have already distributed some of the shipments received.
Also, Kushal Shah offered 110 face shields made utilizing a 3D printer. (see video).
Kudos to Savita Monroe, Kushal Shah, Alka Srivastava and Sharad Srivastava for their hard work and commitment to make a difference to others.
