Election 2018 – Register to vote by July 9th 2018

Register to vote at your City Clerk’s of?ce, registration forms are available at  Absentee Ballots are permitted if you are over 60 or unable to go to the polls for any reason etc. on Election Day.  A ballot request must be obtained from the City Clerk or downloaded at and submitted to the City Clerk. The ballot will be mailed to your address and must be turned in before 8 PM on Election Day.  This process may also be done in-person at your City Clerk’s of?ce.  

Primary Elections:  A process by which each party chooses their General Election candidate.  For example, there are 5 candidates running for the Democratic Nomination in MI 11th Congressional District.  The Primary Election will allow the winner to compete in the General Election against the Republican candidate.

Voter Registration Deadline: July 9th 2018

Absentee Ballot Request by: August 4th, 2018, before 2PM 

Primary Election: August 7th 2018 The 2018 is an ‘open’ primary, meaning you will get a ballot with Republican and Democratic candidates. Choose one party only, e.g. democrats and vote for the candidates of your choice.  If candidates from different parties are chosen in the primary, the ballot is invalid!

General Election Voter Registration Deadline: October 9th, 2018. Absentee Ballot Request by: November 3rd, 2 PM   (Before 2PM) General Elections: November 6th, 2018.
