Ansuya Gandhi, Age 80
January 26-1942 - February 7, 2022

Born Ansuya (Anu) Ravani  in Rajkot, India on January 26, 1942 to the late Shata and Trambaklal Ravani, Anu immigrated to Detroit, Michigan in 1968.  Ansuya Vimal Gandhi made a mark in Detroit over the following five decades as a respected member of the Gujarati Samaj, the Jain Society of Greater Detroit, the professional community of residential realtors in Southeast Michigan.  Most importantly, Ansuyaben was an exemplary mother to her beloved sons, Dr. Partha V. Gandhi of Salt Lake City, UT and Parijat V. Gandhi (Madhu) of Austin, TX and a doting grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren. Anuben is survived by her brothers Chandrakant D. Ravani (Ramila), Kirit T. Ravani (late Alice) and Bharat T. Ravani (Pravina).  She is predeceased by her parents and brother Indubhai T. Ravani (Rama). 

Anuben passed peacefully in Salt Lake City, Utah in the presence of her sons, Partha and Parijat. She will be remembered for her unassuming but enthusiastic and accepting manner.

Ansuya means the one devoid of jealousy. They could not have found a better fitting person to the name than Ansuya (Ravani) Gandhi. Anu donated her body to the University of Utah for Medical Education and Research. In death as in life she generously gave. It is expected that a Virtual Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 20. More specific announcements and a Zoom link will be sent out to friends and family.
