About AquatiCare Physical Therapy
We provide physical therapy via an exercise based, manual therapy approach. Other modalities such as light therapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, or traction, may be used as an aid in pain relief and reduction of inflammation. Manual therapy techniques are provided to release muscular tension and trigger points, stretch muscles, and realign bony landmarks. Exercise is important to improve flexibility and strength throughout the body, improve cardiovascular health, and maintain a healthy balance in the body. Our Fall Risk Assessment and Conditioning Program determines if a patient is at risk to fall, identifies and modifies those factors reducing the probability of injury. By modifying these factors we can increase mobility and confidence, to maintain an independent lifestyle.AquatiCare provides hydrotherapy services with the Hydro Track, which contains an underwater treadmill. Patients are able to perform exercises in the hydro track and focus on normal walking patterns with greater ease than on land due to the elimination of gravity in water. We provide functional capacity evaluations and subsequent work hardening to assist patients with their return to work transition after an injury. We also specialize in patients having gait and balance difficulties by using our state of the art Balance Master and Pneu-Lift.Our goal is to provide each patient with a customized treatment plan to suit individual needs and follow-up with a home exercise program specifically tailored so that once therapy is completed, a patient's overall health can be maintained.
