    The Significance of Diwali/Deepavali
Diwali/Deepavali is celebrated in the Hindu month of Kartika, which falls sometime during October or November. Lord Sri Ganesha and Goddesses Sri Lakshmi are worshipped during Diwali/Deepavali.
In northern India, Diwali is celebrated to mark Lord Sri Rama's return to Ayodhya, after he defeated Ravana, by lighting rows of clay lamps. Southern India celebrates it as the day that Lord Sri Krishna defeated the demon Narakasura.

The Significance of Devi Vaarahi Japam

Devi Vaarahi Ambika is one of the Saivite Shakti deities with the group of Goddesses known as 'Saptamatrukas' or the 'Seven Mothers'. The seven mothers are: Brahmi, Maheshwari, Kaumari, Vaishnavi, Vaarahi, Mahendri and Chamundi. They are the Shakti (female) equivalents of their male counterparts. Devi Vaarahi Ambika is the fifth among the seven Saptamatrukas, and hence also called Panchami. In association with the Saptamatrukas, Devi Vaarahi Ambika can be said to be the representation of the controlled energy of courage and fearlessness.

Mother Vaarahi is an extremely powerful Goddess and protects all devotees who turn to Her for Her grace and blessings.
